Of course, along with all the travel activities that Barbados has to offer, having some of the best beaches in the world certainly doesn’t hurt. Palm Ridge 18 is close to some of the best beaches on the island. It’s time to pack your beach bags and let’s go!
- Paynes Bay
Wade in the calm water, watch the sunset and then pick up fresh fish for dinner. Sounds perfect? Visit the tranquil stretch of beach at Paynes Bay, located near Fitts Village and Holetown. Great for swimming, kayaking and even sea turtle spotting! The Paynes Bay Fishing Complex sits right by the shore so don’t forget to pick up your dinner, fresh from the sea.
- Gibbes Beach
Looking for a quiet, tranquil spot to relax? Look no further than Gibbes Beach, an absolutely beautiful beach in St. Peter. Adjoining the popular Mullins Beach, this stretch is known as the Gold Coast and is known for being peaceful and tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Swim, snorkel, or relax in the shade under the trees dotting the shoreline.
Gibbes is also a great spot for some adventure as a few different watersports are available including parasailing and jet skiing. This picture perfect spot is one of our favourites and is only a few minutes drive from Palm Ridge 18, or the shops and sights of Holetown or Speightstown.
- Mullins Beach
Mullins is one of the most popular beaches to spend the day. Relax, unwind and enjoy the sun (and rum)! Barbados boat trips along the West Coast will take you by this hotspot, known for it’s laid back vibe. The Royal Westmoreland Beach Club is open daily. Enjoy oceanfront dining, sunset cocktails and even morning coffee. It doesn’t get any better!
- Folkestone Beach
Take the family for Barbados boat trips like a tour on the glass-bottom boat at Folkestone Marine Park. Located just above Holetown, Folkestone is known for its underwater marine life, including tropical fish and coral. Experienced divers can explore the artificial reef, created by the sinking of the SS Stavronikita. Snorkelers are in for a treat with sea anemones, sponges and other sea creatures found around the inshore reef. Folkestone is also particularly great for young kids as there is an on-site museum and playground.
These are only a few of the fantastic beaches found across Barbados. We invite you to discover them all on your next stay and see for yourself why Barbados remains the preferred location for purchasing property for sale or finding a luxury villa to rent.
See you on the beach!
