While sitting on the beach in Barbados over the holidays, I conducted an informal survey amongst my fellow sunbathers – what are your New Year resolutions for 2013?

The top answer was, of course, to maybe have more rum punches BUT a close second was to spend more time in beautiful Barbados. So, to kick off the New Year and under the theme of New Experiences, we are inviting you to tell us what new activity you are looking forward to trying in 2013.

We have started the list with a few favourites:

1)      Waking up to a Beach View

For the perfect panoramic view of the West Coast while lying in bed, enjoying the tropical breeze, look no further than Aurora Lusso. This stunning 5 bedroom propoerty is located within the exclusive Sugar Hill Resort and boasts an impressive open plan layout. 2013 is being hailed as an important year for the global property market so why not investigate the benefits and invest in a tropical property in Barbados now.

2) Diving for Treasure in Barbados

2013 is the year to dive in Barbados. From December 2012 – April 2013, renowned Austrian photographer, Andreas Franke, will be hosting his exhibition on the site of the SS Stavronikita, an underwater wreck. The ship was claimed by a fire more than 20 years ago and lowered into the ocean as an artificial reef and breeding ground.

Magnets have been attached onto the pictures and these have been fastened onto the ship with great care taken not to disturb the ecological balance of marine life or to damage the outer skin of the Stavronikita. You can dive to find the pictures on board the SS Stavronikita from Dec. 27, 2012 until the end of April 2013. For more information, visit thesinkingworld.com.

What else are you looking forward to in 2013. Barbados has so much to offer this year and we look forward to sharing all of our new experiences with you. All the best for the New Year!!!!
